Senior Full Stack Developer – Remote (Based in Sri Lanka)

About Us We are a travel technology company developing a specialized software platform that streamlines VIP travel operations covering hotel reservations and other logistics management. Our system is already developed and operational. We are now expanding our product team and seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to take full technical ownership of the platform, review and optimize the current structure, manage ongoing development, introduce new features, and ensure long-term scalability and stability.

Role Overview The Senior Full Stack Developer will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and expanding our travel technology platform. You will work closely with the Product Development Manager and other team members to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Location: Remote (Based in Sri Lanka) Employment Type: Full-Time Contract

Key Responsibilities

Take complete technical ownership of the existing system (front-end, back-end, and database).
Analyze and improve system performance, structure, and code quality.
Design and develop new features, modules, and API integrations.
Manage and maintain deployment pipelines, environments, and version control.
Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to align technical work with product goals.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues efficiently.
Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with best practices.
Prepare and maintain documentation for technical processes, APIs, and updates.

Front-end: React.js / Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
Back-end: Python (Django / FastAPI)
Database: PostgreSQL (existing), MySQL
APIs: SOAP (for Amadeus integration) / REST (for internal communication)
Infrastructure: AWS / Google Cloud, CI/CD pipelines
Version Control: Git / GitHub

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of full stack development experience.
Minimum 3+ years in a Senior Developer role.
Proven experience in taking over and managing existing systems.
Strong understanding of system architecture, optimization, and scalability.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in travel or hospitality technology platforms is highly preferred.
Familiarity with API integrations such as booking engines, payment gateways, or GDS systems.
Knowledge of authentication, data security, and modern deployment workflows.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
