Job Description:
The North Transportation is looking for a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage daily transportation operations, ensure efficiency, and support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily transportation and logistics operations
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor routes, schedules, and fleet performance
- Supervise operational staff and drivers to ensure productivity and compliance
- Ensure safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations are followed
- Monitor operational costs and improve efficiency
- Handle client coordination and resolve operational issues promptly
- Prepare operational reports and support management decision-making
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role (transportation/logistics preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills (English required; Sinhala/Tamil is an advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Computer literacy (MS Office, reporting tools)
