Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lenovo Storage Engineer to design, implement, and support Lenovo enterprise storage solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Lenovo storage systems (DM, DE, HX, ThinkSystem series) and a strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and backup environments. You will play a key role in solution design, deployment, and ongoing support for mission-critical storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Lenovo storage solutions for enterprise clients.
- Configure and maintain SAN/NAS environments and storage replication.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for storage-related incidents and escalations.
- Perform storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and health checks.
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams for firmware upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure data protection, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place and operational.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution design, PoCs, and client demonstrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or related roles.
- Strong expertise with Lenovo Storage systems (DM, DE, HX, and ThinkSystem series).
- Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, iSCSI, FC protocols, and storage networking.
- Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, and backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
- Experience with RAID concepts, snapshot, replication, and tiering.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
