We are looking for a passionate and experienced *Barista* to join our specialty coffee and desserts shop in Oman. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing high-quality specialty coffee, serving desserts, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and contributing creative ideas for new beverages and desserts.
### *Key Responsibilities:*
* Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages and manual brew coffee (V60, Chemex, French Press, etc.).
* Prepare and present desserts, cakes, pastries, and other sweet items according to company standards.
* Develop and introduce innovative coffee beverages, seasonal drinks, and dessert presentations.
* Contribute creative ideas for improving the café menu and customer experience.
* Ensure consistency in the quality and presentation of coffee and desserts.
* Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar, dessert display, equipment, and work area.
* Provide friendly and professional customer service.
* Recommend coffee beverages and desserts based on customer preferences.
* Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, desserts, and other supplies, and report shortages.
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
* Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
### *Requirements:*
* Previous experience as a Barista (specialty coffee experience is preferred).
* Experience in serving or preparing desserts and pastries is an advantage.
* Creativity and passion for developing new coffee beverages and dessert ideas.
* Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and manual brewing methods.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Good English communication skills.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
